Companies: Tomate Comunicação Digital, Transauto Group and Luar Produtora, Sao Paolo - Brazil
Tried HTML/CSS after reading about it on a Sunday newspaper’s section and got hired as an intern a few weeks later after asking some questions about how to fix my website on a famous Brazilian message board. Added Action Script (Flash) to my set of skills and fought hard browsers’ differences (hey Netscape versions!). Slowly developing design skills.

- Web Developer: HTML, CSS and Flash (with some level of Action Script involved).

First steps into the financial world. While creating functional prototypes (when this word wasn't even a thing), specially for transactional areas, I kept improving my design skills. My role grew (bye Netscape!) until I become the Lead Designer for all digital interaction within the bank - retail and corporate. The bank was bought right after we user tested a new design to integrate more than 10 different websites.

My first steps into Product Design Management and, a while later, into teams coordination, not only internal, but also with a pool of digital agencies. As social media got into everybody’s agenda, I started transitioning to its development inside the company. During the monitoring phase, I became the main contact with our PR team, and then lead the process of creating a brand strategy and an action plan (it involved more than 100 departments) to establish the brand’s active role in different social media services. I also kept my role as a digital specialist, providing brand strategy and user experience consultation to different internal areas, being one of the brand's institutional deparment main contacts within the organization, with C-level interaction on a regular basis.

School: Hyper Island, Stockholm - Sweden
Time for a reboot! I joined the Interactive Art Director program at Hyper Island, in Stockholm, where I could be introduced to new methods regarding project development, but also new views of the importance of building teams. Working with a different agency and a real client in every module - well known North Kingdom and Doberman are two examples -, as well as getting the opportunity to learn from a great number of professionals who came to be a classmate (we were in more than 21 nationalities working in several groups), share their experience in a lecture/talk or apply a workshop, it was definitely a life-changing experience.

Not able to stay in Europe/Germany for my internship due to visa issues, and after a break of interviews around the world (Skype) who always came down to the same problem, I accepted an offer and started working for one of the main branding agencies in Brazil. Hired as a Digital Strategist, I was responsible for providing and shaping a vision, along with the director's board, of how digital media could be incorporated into the existent branding approach.

Independent, Sao Paolo - Brazil / Berlin - Germany
The freelancer world. As I was planning to leave Brazil again, I decided to experiment with the independent life for a while. I got the opportunity to work again with user experience design, art direction and hands-on type of work, something I was not doing anymore since almost 10 years. I also came in contact with a Berlin based company which runs crowdstorms for some well known brands (Jovoto), allowing me to explore and learn a very diverse set of skills, helping me license a idea and getting the community's recognition. The moving finally happened and right after arriving in Berlin, I got the opportunity to work on a Kickstarter campaign (you can read more about it in the "B-side" section), collaborating to the product's campaign in the platform.
